Who is Todd Kellstrom?
Todd was born in Klamath Falls in 1953. He attended Riverside Elementary (1-7, no kindergarten), Fremont Jr. High (8th grade) Mazama (was 9th graders only) and graduated from KU (10-12) in 1970.
His early interests were his love for music. “My dad loved Peggy Lee (What man didn't?) and my mom took me to see Don Shirley and George Shearing here locally, at Mills Auditorium. WOW! This is what piqued my interest and started me on the road to listen and appreciate many genres of music.”
The son of a local businessman and WWII man, Todd ultimately took his political interests from his great grandfather, his grandfather and his dad, all of whom were public servants.
Todd Kellstrom is a proud Father and Stepfather of Raymond, Christine, Michael & Kevin all of whom are on their way to successful lives in their chosen fields of firefighter, nurse, entrepreneur and Marine.
What makes Todd Kellstrom a good leader, and why has he been a successful Mayor?
Todd is a good listener, he does not make hasty decisions. He recognizes that he does not know everything and is not an expert in everything and will seek out those who have the knowledge and experience so he can make good decisions. A negotiator doesn't “draw a line in the sand” but will always try to come to a mutual agreement.
